Locking unlucky not to win at Draycott

Locking Park First3

Locking Park continued their good start to the season with an entertaining draw away to Draycott.

Park took the lead at around 20 minutes when Mitch Corrick assisted Matt Hollow, who was strong on the ball and finished nicely. Draycott levelled on 30 and the half was bought to an abrupt ending ten minutes after a nasty clash of heads between a Draycott forward and Locking goalkeeper Ian Allchorne. Luckily there weren’t any seriously injuries.

Ten minutes into the second Locking took the lead when the bounce from a goal kick beat the Draycott defence, with Tom Rolls there to slot away. It was 3-1 moments later after a Mike Green free kick fell to Tom Rolls, whose shot was deflected to Jack Poole to smash into the back of the net.

Draycott did well to come back into the game, scoring on 70 from a corner and then 5 minutes from time to ensure the points were shared. A great game which Park were unlucky not to win, and playing some of the best football they have for a while. Man of the match was goalkeeper Ian Allchorne.
