Locking win away at Sporting Weston

Locking Park won 5-4 away at Sporting Weston in an exciting end-to-end match.

Park started slowly and were 2-0 down within ten minutes. It was 2-1 five minutes later when Harry Hornigold played a ball across the box for Matt Hollow to slot into the net. Hollow got his second in a goal mouth scramble to make it even just before half time.

Sporting Weston started the second half brighter and went 3-2 up winning and converting a penalty. only for Tom Rolls to outpace the home defence minutes later, smash passed the oncoming keeper and make it level once again. Soon after Locking got their own penalty but Matt Hollow put it passed the post. Sporting punished that ten minutes later going 4-3 up but Park rallied and once again drew level when Tom Rolls played across the box to Rory Atkins who finished well. Matt Hollow got a deserved hattrick and Locking Park’s winner just before the end when impressive substitute Sommers Counsell played him through and his shot was too hot to handle for the keeper.

A great team performance to come from behind multiple times, man of the match going to Matt Hollow.
