Locking Park had a hard day at the office going out of the Atwell Shield 3-1 at home versus Draycott.
Park had the majority of the possession and chances in the first half but couldn’t find the net. The game’s first goal went to the away team after a slip by Locking captain Dan Windsor let the Draycott attacker through and slotted past Ian Allchorne on 50 minutes. The scores were level ten minutes later after half time substitute Matt Hollow did well on his own and beat the keeper nicely. Although the game was put beyond Locking after two goals in 8 minutes, the first an edge of the box shot that hit the bar straight into the path of a Draycott man to pass into the net. The next was a well worked goal from Draycott, a cross from the right beating the Park defence and the attacker volleying into an empty net.
Man of the match went to Harry Hornigold for a tireless performance in midfield.
