Locking Park held on after a second half onslaught to run out 3-2 winners away at K V F C.
Park started brightly with Rory Atkins hammering a low shot into the net after 5 minutes after being put through by Ryan Harris. The scores were level not long after when the Locking defence were caught napping and the K V F C striker finishing a one-on-one well. But Park went into half time 2-1 up after a cross from right-back Russell Carter lobbed the keeper and found the top left-hand corner of the net on 30.
In the second half Ryan Harris got a goal on 60 minutes; a shot on the edge of the area bouncing over the home keeper. K V F C pushed forward for the remainder of the game and got a penalty on 84 to make it 3-2. The rest of the game was backs to the wall for Locking Park but they solidly held on for a deserved win.
Great performances all round, special mentions for Ian Allchorne for some quality saves that kept Locking in it, Mitch Corrick for another solid display and Ryan Harris and Rory Atkins for both getting their 4th goals in 2 games. Man of the match went to debutant centre-back Ollie Boyd.
