First team back to winning ways

Locking Park produced a solid display to beat Wrington Redhill Reserves 2-1 at home, who two weeks ago beat them 3-0 at their ground.

Park were the first to get on the score sheet after just 15 minutes, Matt Hollow providing a quality assist to Tommy Rolls who produced a top drawer outside-of-the-box shot to beat the keeper. Both teams had chances for the rest of the first half but Locking held on to go into the break 1-0 up.

In the second half the away side were level on 53 after a decent bottom corner shot by a Wrington forward was just out of reach for Locking keeper Ian Allchorne. The winner for Park came on 77, Matt Holland getting the ball on the right wing, bringing it inside, getting passed two defenders and slotting past the keeper. Substitute Joe Pearson provided the assist.

Wrington came forward but Locking’s defence lead by captain Dan Windsor remained solid once again to see the game out. Man of the match went to Dan Windsor.
